9" HomeSaver Windbeater Stainless Steel Chimney Cap

HomeSaver Windbeater caps are a great economical alternative to prevent downdrafts in windy areas. Made from 100% 304-alloy Stainless Steel in a sturdy 24-Gauge, these caps are made to last and all come with a Lifetime Warranty. They will work with relining pipe as well as factory-built chimneys but adaptors are also available for masonry chimneys.

What does cross-sectional area mean?

A. The cross-sectional area of the HomeSaver 14909 is a reference to the opening in the cap that must be approximately equal to 10% of the square inch size of the opening of your fireplace. In the case of the 14909, the cross-sectional area (in square in.) is 63.6; which means this cap is recommended for use with fireplaces with openings of up to 639 square inches.
