Can you recess this model in wall and mount tv over it on the same wall? Can you use propane?
A. Provided this fireplace is installed per the instructions, then it is possible to mount a TV or other electronic appliance over the Fireplace. Napoleon recommends that you maintain a minimum distance from the top of the fireplace to any mantel or other shelf placed above the unit. This can be viewed on page 26 of the installation instructions. For example, if you are installing the TV on a shelf that projects out from the wall 8", then you would need to install the shelf 18" above the top of the fireplace. In addition, there is an optional Liquid Propane conversion kit available for this unit (Model W175-0278) that allows you to use LP Gas on this unit instead of Natural Gas.
